In 2002 WEG New Zealand elected to adopt the Authorised Service Centre program promoted very successfully by WEG in Brazil, Australia and North America. To become an Authorised Repair facility repair shops have to pass through an accreditation program which ensures repairs are carried out using "Best Working Practices". At this stage WEG New Zealand has Authorised Service Centres at various stages of the accreditation process from Northland to Invercargill.
